Service 01

Live sound mixing

At the mixing console, we make sure every voice is clear, every instrument sits in its place and the overall sound is balanced — from the first soundcheck to the final applause.

About the service

Live sound mixing is about more than setting the volume. It means constantly listening to the room, the performers and the audience, and making hundreds of small decisions the listener never notices — they only notice that the sound is simply good.

Every event has its own dynamics. A speaker who suddenly steps back from the microphone, a band that plays louder in the second half, or a hall that fills up and therefore sounds different from the soundcheck — all of this calls for an immediate, considered response at the mixing console.

Before the event, we run a soundcheck with the performers, setting up each channel individually, checking the monitors and agreeing on any particulars of the programme. During the event, we stay at the console throughout and follow the running order, so that every cue is on time and every microphone is open exactly when it needs to be.

The result is sound that is intelligible, balanced and pleasant to listen to — from the front row to the back.

What you gain

A difference you can hear.

  • 01

    Intelligibility

Speech and vocals stay clear, even in challenging, reverberant rooms.

  • 02

    Relaxed performers

A good monitor mix means a more confident, better performance.

  • 03

    No surprises

We follow the programme according to the running order and respond to changes as they happen.

How it works

Step by step.

  1. 01

    Before the event

We review the programme, the list of performers and their technical requirements, and prepare the channel allocation.

  2. 02

    Soundcheck

With each performer, we set up the sound, the monitors and the transitions between parts of the programme.

  3. 03

    During the event

We are at the mixing console throughout, following the running order and adjusting the sound as we go.

  4. 04

    After the event

We pack the equipment away quickly and tidily and, if you wish, review how it went together.

Where we use it

Questions about this service

What we are often asked.

All questions →
01 Can you use the venue’s existing sound system?

Yes. If the venue already has a suitable sound system, we check it before the event and supplement it with our own equipment if needed.

02 How much time do we need for the soundcheck?

It depends on the number of performers. A shorter check is enough for a spoken programme, while we plan more time for bands. The exact timing is agreed in the event schedule.

03 Do you follow the event’s running order?

Yes. Based on the running order, we prepare settings for each part of the programme, and during the event we stay in contact with the host or organiser.
